business referral groups

Business Referral Groups are a proactive member group sponsored by the Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce. The objective is to provide a regular networking meeting for the purpose of generating new business through fellow member referrals and qualified leads. This is accomplished through commitment, communication and cooperation of participants.

Business Referral Groups consist of up to 25 participants, representing non-competing businesses and organizations.

To be eligible for participation in the Business Referral Group, a company must be a member in good standing of the Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce. Participants in the Business Referral Group must attend an orientation session during the first month of participation that will include signing anti-trust and confidentiality statements.

Participants are expected to furnish valid business referrals, on a continuing basis, to other participants. Participants are required to take ownership of any referrals received. Referrals can be “introductions” to individuals that the referring participant believes may have certain synergies with the recipient.

With the renewed strength in leadership for the program, follow-up and accountability will be stressed to help the program stay focused and strong.

The new program will begin with one group of 25 maximum after Jan. 1, 2008. Applications for participants will be available after Dec. 1, 2007, but we currently have several interested participants on the list. If you are interested in receiving more information on the program, contact the Chamber.
