Joseph B. Henning

Chief Executive Officer

Joe was named Chief Executive Officer in August 2005. An Aurora resident, he believes the community has a great deal to offer its businesses and residents. Joe holds a bachelor's degree in Public Relations and a master's degree focusing on organizational development from Northern Illinois University as well as a certificate in not-for-profit management from the University of Chicago. His background includes business development, marketing, strategic planning and organizational development for a number of industries including health care, entertainment and education. Joe serves on the Board of the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and on a number of boards and committees throughout the greater Aurora area.

Sally Rutledge-Ott, ACE

Vice President, Membership Development

Sally joined the Chamber in January 2006. Sally has an associate’s degree in Court and Convention Reporting and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. After a successful court reporting career, she entered into the world of tourism, starting the Ottawa Visitors Bureau. From there, Sally ran a home-based business which included freelance court reporting and national corporate training. She began working for chambers throughout the State of Illinois providing facilitation and change management. Her past few years have been spent as president of two chambers. Her skills and knowledge of the inner workings of a chamber will be an asset to our entire membership. She has been affiliated with the Illinois Chamber of Commerce Executives through the Illinois State Chamber, the Illinois Council of Convention and Visitors Bureaus, the American Red Cross, the March of Dimes and the Easter Seals. Sally and her husband Kevin live in Ottawa. They have one son, Tom, a graduate student at University of Iowa.

Pam Bellm

Director of Programs

Pam joined the Chamber in June 2006 and is an Aurora native – her maiden name is Wyeth and there are a number of family members in the Aurora area.  Besides Aurora, Pam has lived in: St. Louis, MO; Decatur, IL; Peoria, IL; Fayetteville, NC; Morris, IL; and now resides in Batavia.  Her education includes a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Monmouth College, an MBA and PHR Certification from Aurora University.  Pam has worked in both the corporate and non-profit arenas in a wide variety of areas – from managing a McDonald’s to selling flowers seeds to advocating for the homeless.  Pam has done extensive volunteer work including building boards, fund development and creating marketing plans. She serves on the Alumni Board of Directors for Monmouth College and is the founder of Chase the Moon bike ride. Pam and her husband Doug have three grown children – Jacqueline, Ashley and Austin.

Peg Kenyon, IOM, ACE

Director of Communications

Peg joined the Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce in May 2007, with well over 18 years of non-profit experience.  She spent the last eight years as the Executive Director of the Bolingbrook Area Chamber. Prior to that, she was the Director of Special Events for the Integris Health Foundation, in Oklahoma City, and the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, Illinois, as the Event Coordinator. Peg is a 2002 graduate of the Institute of Organizational Management, a program offering certification through the US Chamber of Commerce in chamber management.  She has been a member of the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives for more than six years and has attended numerous conferences and educational seminars throughout the Midwest pertaining to volunteer management. Peg is married to Jeff, who recently took an early retirement from Nicor.  They have three children: Brad, recently married to Pamela Mara of Aurora; Kristin married and living in Garland, Texas; and Jeffrey Charles a senior at Monmouth University.  Peg and her husband also have three beautiful granddaughters: Caitlyn, Peyton and Asia. On a good day you’ll catch Peg on the Fox River with a fishing pole in her hand.  The rest of her spare time will be spent gardening, oil and watercolor painting, reading or scrapbooking.

Jeanette Morris

Director of Finance

In March 2000, having moved from Pine Bluff, AR, Jeanette joined the Chamber staff as part-time Accounts Manager. Jeanette holds an Associate Degree in Business and has attended many business-related seminars and classes. Her 23 years experience with one manufacturing company in Arkansas afforded her the opportunity to hold positions in many areas of business, including Administrative Assistant to the President,  Administrative Services Manager, Quality Facilitator, Human Resource, Benefits and Safety Manager and Office Manager.  She has been affiliated with American Business Women's Association, Junior Achievement Teaching Program, Pine Bluff United Way, SEARK Technical Industrial Workplace Program, Employer's Advisory Committee and Provena Mercy Medical Center Auxiliary member.  Jeanette and her husband Ron have one daughter, Vicki Morcos, who resides in Sugar Grove, IL.
