RiverEdge Park

The City of Aurora is seeking qualified firms for the construction of the RiverEdge Park Music Garden. Of the total project cost, MBE and WBE will be awarded at least 10%, with WBE receiving at least half of that dollar amount.

SciTech Ends Summer with a Bash

The Aurora community has a wonderful, new opportunity to celebrate the end of summer with SciTech’s End of Summer Bash this Saturday. Located in downtown Aurora on Benton Street, the event is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

In addition to outdoor exhibits, children can make slime and have their faces painted. SciTech will also offer skits and music throughout the day. Adults can enjoy a performance by Bobby Hollywood and the Hills.

Tickets are $10 and include entrance to the museum and outdoor activities. Children under three are free.

Tomorrow: Join Us for Business After Hours

Join us for Business After Hours tomorrow evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cool Acres. Presented by Fox Valley Park District and the Chamber, the evening celebrates the grand re-opening of this beautiful riverside park and shelter. Cool Acres accommodates large parties and social gatherings. It is the ideal setting for many events, including business retreats. For outings of every type, it’s the place to be.

Cool Acres is located on Route 25 just north of East Indian Trail Road (turn at Clearwater Drive).
