City Offers Green Continuing Education Program

Building Operator Certification training includes nearly 80 hours of classroom and project work in building systems maintenance. Each course in the series is completed in a one-day training session except BOC 103 – HVAC Systems and Controls. Unless otherwise noted, training begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends by 4:00 p.m. Tuition for the training series is $1,250. Early registration is encouraged. Residents of Aurora may be eligible for a 100% tuition rebate funded by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. Non-residents may be eligible for a $350 rebate funded by DCEO. Register online at http://www.boccentral.org.

Building Operator Certification in Aurora is brought to you by the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance in partnership with the City of Aurora as well as through an award from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program under Award Number DESC0002943. The City of Aurora is offering a 100% tuition rebate for residents of Aurora that successfully complete the program and become certified. Non-residents are eligible for a $350 rebate funded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
