Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Seeks Support

Our local National Association of Letter Carriers 219 is looking for sponsorship for their 25th Anniversary Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Last year, locally, the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive collected more than 70,000 pounds of food.  All food collected goes to local food pantries, including Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry, Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry, and Loaves & Fishes.

The letter carriers are looking to increase the amount of food collected this year by 25 percent.  They will purchase paper bags that will be distributed to more than 90,000 households in the region. In order to purchase the bags, they need sponsorships of $6000. Sponsors will provide their logo to have it printed on the bags and other advertisement.  Sponsorship money is due by March 1st.  They will also accept donation and/or services that they can use as incentive for schools and volunteers.  Volunteers are also needed for the event.  See http://nalc.org/food or call Mary Kluber, food drive coordinator, at (630) 802-5578 for more information.
